Ingredients
- 1 Sugardale Ham
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/3 cup seedless blackberry jam or preserves
- 2 Tbsp. white rum
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 pint fresh blackberries
Directions
- Prepare Sugardale ham according to package instructions. Cook until internal temperature reaches 135°F.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in rum and blackberry jam / preserves. Stir constantly for 1 minute to melt jam. Mix in brown sugar and stir to dissolve.
- Bring glaze to a slow boil and stir in fresh blackberries. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until blackberries have softened. Mash blackberries with a spoon or potato masher. Continue to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Glaze ham during last 20-30 minutes of cook time. Serve any remaining glaze with ham.
